Weekly Update 25/09/2020

Reminder

As we continue to follow the Guidelines and risk assessments, can we please ask that our young people remember to bring a suitable outside jacket.  Unless it is severe weather then our young people will be expected to be outside during morning break and after eating their lunch.

Face Masks

Once again our young people have done an outstanding job in wearing facemasks.  We are really enjoying seeing some of the more unusual designs. At Kelso High School we are always keen to support sustainability and the environment and ask, where possible, pupils wear reusable masks.

Excellence and Participation in Learning

Pupil work and achievements are regularly shared via our social media platforms. Please follow us at:

Celebration of Achievement 2020

As we are all aware, this year has been exceptionally different from previous years, and sadly we are unable to hold our usual Celebration of Achievement Evening in the same format as we have previously enjoyed. We do, however, still want to celebrate the successes of our young people and recognise their achievement. We will be inviting all those who have been nominated for awards to come to a small and socially distanced ceremony to receive their awards on Thursday 1st  and Friday 2nd October.

Senior Study

ONLY S6’s can sign out for study. S6 must sign out AND back in each time.

S5’s are not permitted to sign out and should use the study space provided, ensuring they sign in and out also.

If S6 students are studying at home Periods 1 and 2, they MUST phone or email the school office to let them know.

This is essential for fire safety regulations and Track & Trace protocol and is non-negotiable.
