Alternative Certification Model for N5, Higher and Advanced Higher.

An email was also sent to all pupils, parents and carers with interim bands, where possible, following the first assessment window. If you have any queries about these, please contact the relevant department.
Assessment Window 2 runs from Monday 24th May until Friday the 4th June. Molly from Quarriers continues to be available to provide support to our young people at this time.
School Uniform
Now that we are all back at school full time we have had a renewed focus on uniform. Our young people have taken this on board and are arriving at school smart and ready to learn. All pupils should wear black trousers/skirt, white shirt, school tie, black shoes, black jumper (apart from S6). We would appreciate your ongoing support with this. Young people grow fast so please let us know where there are difficulties with your young person wearing uniform and we will do our best to support you.
Mobile Phones
We are asking parents and carers to remind their young people that if they bring mobile phones to school that these should remain switched off and in their bags during lesson time. If parents/carers need to contact pupils during the school the school day, they can do so by contacting the school office and a message will be passed on.
Rag Bags
Are you planning to have a clear out of clothes (mens, womens and childrens), paired shoes, handbags or belts? We have a stock of rag bags in the office that we are going to collect in, which not only helps the environment and then exported to Africa, Asia and Eastern Europe to provide those in need of quality affordable second hand clothing, it also helps raise money for our school that then benefits our pupils. If you’d like a bag (or you can use your own!), ask your young person to collect one from the School Office and once you’ve filled it just hand it back to us and we will arrange for it to be uplifted.
Lockdown Recipe Book
During the 2nd lockdown the HE department asked pupils and staff to give a recipe which they had enjoyed cooking, baking or eating during lockdown so they could be collated into a recipe book. The response was amazing resulting in over 120 recipes being compiled into a book which has now been printed. The A4 book is bursting with lots of exciting recipes which we are sure you will enjoy recreating at home. The books are priced at £3 each and any profits made from the book will go back to the HE department.
