School Holiday – Friday 11th October 2019
Please note KHS is closed tomorrow for a casual holiday. Each Learning Community is allocated 2 casual holidays during each session for pupils and staff. KHS is in the Cheviot Learning Community so have agreed our casual holidays to be taken tomorrow and Wednesday 19th February 2020. Fundraiser for The Doddie Weir Foundation
Bradley and Aidan have done a fantastic job organising a fundraising raffle for The Doddie Weir Foundation. Well done boys for such a great effort. We have been learning about teamwork, trust and making a difference. The picture shows Aidan and Bradley handing over a cheque for £80.37. Throughout the month of October, the Co-op on Roxburgh Street is continuing fundraising for The Doddie Weir Foundation #PRIDE
Charity Begins At Home
Located on Bridge Street in Kelso. Please visit and support your local charity shop where proceeds go to support local groups including Kelso High School. The shop contains a variety of quality clothing, china, glass and books. Please pop along for a browse!
Lost Property
There has been a significant amount of lost property left in the School Office. This will be cleared out during the holidays and taken to Charity Begins At Home if left unclaimed.
KHS Swimming News
5 KHS pupils attended the Hearts Premier Meet on 5th /6th October.
- Andrew Lawson (S3) swam in 7 events achieving GOLD in each one and securing the Best 13 year old boy trophy
- Sam Grainger (S2) – GOLD in 50 breaststroke & BRONZE 50 freestyle
- Bronwen Payne (S1) – BRONZE in 50 backstroke & BRONZE 50 breaststroke
- Jessie Norris(S2) – pb’s in all of her 4 events
- Ellie Mackenzie (S1) – pb’s in both of her events
