Month of Hope

See letter below which was emailed to parents this week regarding the festive events taking place this month.

KHS Dyslexia Hub

Kelso High School are launching a new group for dyslexic learners (including those who think they may be dyslexic). This will run on Mondays during P5. To keep the groups a manageable size, each week will focus on a different year group and will rotate over the month.  A reminder will be added to the daily bulletin.

In the Dyslexia Hub we will look at all sorts of things including:

• using technologies, including iPads
• strategies to support dyslexia in everyday life – organisation, memory, concentration etc
• coping with stress, including exam stress
• study skills/homework
• understanding the neuro-diverse brain

Online Webinar

Our partners at Wild hearts are offering a Teens and Screens Webinar for parents:

Understand the positives and negatives of your child’s online world. Help them become responsible digital citizens, who can manage risk and avoid harm. Covering social media use, gaming and cyber bullying, we will explore the latest guidelines on screen time, screen use and the pitfalls to be aware of.

This webinar will take place on Thursday 10th December (12-1pm). Spaces are limited. Please register using the link below
