S2 Reports
In session 2023-24, we will continue to generate our own in house reports. These will be emailed to you directly this afternoon. This first report provides you with information on Attendance (%), Progress in Learning and being Ready to Learn.

Please can we ask that you also regularly ask your youngster to share work, activities and progress updates that they have completed via their iPads.

S2 CDT
You may have gained an hour at the weekend resulting in some dark evenings, but if you’re an S2 parent you’ll want to count the hours and minutes until these fabulous creations come home to brighten up your day. Here we see 2.2 learning the joints they need for the frame. #pridekhs#ticktock#woodwork#skills#cdt

S3 Engineering Science
S3 Engineering Science students have been busy learning the basics of Electronics this term. They have learnt about Analogue and Digital circuits and are now building prototypes of their circuits. To bring their ideas to life, they are creating a model shed complete with doors/windows which are wired up to demonstrate how the circuits could be used in real life. It is great to see everyone learning in such a hands-on way.

S2 Languages
There was lots of Halloween iPad and Green Screen fun in the Language Option class today when green screen magic was used to create some fantastic Halloween movies!
Learners were tasked with creating pumpkin puppets, creating an animation and adding a Halloween song in a different language.

Saltire Award
Huge well done to our young people who received Saltire Awards this week. They organised and did a litter pick from KHS to Kelso Skatepark at Shedden Park.

Support for Learning
This week our fantastic Support for Learning Department hosted a Halloween Party in the Pupil Support Kitchen. Everyone enjoyed themselves immensely and there were lots of fun activities to keep everyone entertained. There was a Scavenger Hunt, Pass the Parcel and even a quick game of Apple Bobbing with a twist!
A huge thank you to our SfL team for arranging this fabulous party for our young people.
