Trip to Jim Clark Museum
Our Engineering Skills class, together with two lecturers from Borders College, visited the Jim Clark museum in Duns this week. It was really interesting to learn of Jim Clark’s life story, from growing up on a Berwickshire farm to becoming Formula 1 champion in 1963 and 1965. Jim Clark died tragically in 1968 whilst racing in Germany. The class were given a very interesting tour of the museum and it was fascinating to see the cars that Jim Clark drove in his heyday. The highlight of the tour was undoubtedly a shot of a race car simulator complete with a virtual reality headset. Thanks go to Borders College for organising the day and to Kenneth at the Jim Clark museum for showing us round.

Film Premiere and Art Installation
You are invited to our film premiere and art installation as shown below. Celebrating The River Tweed, our students have worked alongside master fly dresser’s who helped them to create their very own fishing flies. These hand-made creations will be shown alongside artwork produced with Allanbank Community Arts and a film produced by the media team from Kelso High School.
