A full list of all award winners can be found in the programme below.

Celebration of Wider Achievement

S2 Inspiring Learning Festival – Wednesday 31st May 2023

Our S2 learners enjoyed a fun afternoon of STEM Focused Workshops and Activities at Springwood Park on Wednesday afternoon.  Please enjoy some photos from the event.

The Kelsae Rocket

Our Electric Car has been back in action this week, this time at a time trial event held at Springwood Showground, as part of a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Maths) festival. Our team of four drivers each had a familiarisation lap before two timed circuits. Our fastest driver was Troy Jeffrey who completed a lap in just under 56 seconds, only four  seconds behind the winner from Eyemouth High School. Angus Barbour, Henry Aitchison and Lewis Hawker also managed times in or around fifty-six seconds, so overall it was a very close competition. Well done to all involved.

Thanks again to our school technician Bill Pratt who accompanied the team and to Mr Martin for organising.

S6 Leavers Evening

We are holding our annual S6 Leavers Evening on Tuesday 13th June. Please remember to let us know how many places you require.

KHS English Department

KHS English teachers enjoyed a Departmental Meeting with a difference this week, working alongside Abbotsford’s Dr Mackenzie, planning our new S2 Creative Writing unit of work: ‘Fairies, Fables & Folklore’.

Excitedly, the whole of our S2 will be visiting the new ‘Witch Corner’ Scott-inspired installation at Abbotsford in October & crafting their own literary masterpieces!  Watch this space.
