School Holidays

The school session ended in celebratory style with a music concert and ceilidh – a big well done to all those who took part! The school office remains open throughout the holidays for enquiries and senior staff will be available to assist with enquiries when SQA results are published on Tuesday 7th and Wednesday 8th August 2018. The new session begins for all pupils on Tuesday 21st August 2018. In the meantime we wish all our learners and their families a happy holiday.

Lottery Draw – June 2018

The numbers drawn for June were 8, 9 and 18. Unfortunately there were no matches so the prize fund of ?100 will roll over to next month – Good Luck!!

Education Maintenance Allowance (EMA)

It?s time to apply for EMA. Are you staying on at school and will be 16 before 28th February 2019? If so you may be eligible for EMA payments of ?30 per week. Please collect an EMA Form from the School Office.

Bus Passes for August 2018

Pupils that receive transport to and from school should collect their new bus passes from the School Office before school starts again in August.

School Uniform Orders

Please order your uniform from Border Embroideries (there is a direct link to the website to right of this page). All orders place by 26th July will be delivered to your home in time for school starting in August. Orders over ?45 will be delivered free of charge and all other orders will cost ?2.99.

Summer at The Planet

The Kelso Youth Project is opening its doors to a great summer of fun at The Planet (next door to the Borders Ice Rink) from Tuesday 3rd July to Thursday 16th August. So if you are aged 10-13 year olds (P6 – S2) we can offer you 42 great sessions of art, craft, two wacky sports days; a rounders? tournament with medals; inflatable fun at the pool; bike fun; lots of physical activities and a fantastic price of only ?1 a session with a free lunch. Pupils are reminded to respect both their school and their community and ensure that they use rubbish bins provided around school and the town to dispose of any litter. If anyone has any suggestions on how we can promote this to stop littering please contact KHS at [email protected]
